Today I Will Be Happier Than a Bird With a French Fry

Since we were traveling with our dog Scamper, we had to look for a place with an outdoor patio to eat dinner.  Joe’s Crab Shack had just the thing!  After our food arrived, a bird landed near our table.  We heard Anna say, “Aww, little bird, do you want a french fry?”  Just as she was about to toss it, Shawn shouted, “Nooooo!”  It was too late.  After that we ate in terror for the next few minutes as birds came flocking to our table.  They perched above us, beside us, by our feet.  They had us surrounded.  We shooed them away as best we could, and Anna learned quickly why you never throw food to birds as you dine oceanside!
