Valentine Scavenger Hunt
On the morning of Valentine’s Day I dropped Dylan and Abby off for their school party, and then a couple friends and I took the teenagers out for a fun Valentine’s Day scavenger hunt at Target and then a quick stop in Starbuck’s. We then met up with everyone else for lunch and Rockin’ Jump. Afterwards, I took Cody to tennis, and Anna went shopping with some friends. Then when Shawn got off work he met us to deliver a big box of Valentine goodies and homemade get well cards to some friends of ours whose little 5 year old boy just had brain surgery to remove a cavernoma. We ended the night with chocolate fondue, a movie, and games. Since the day was so full, Shawn and I went out for dinner the next day to celebrate. Oh, and Anna received another gorgeous display of flowers and chocolates delivered to our house sometime during the afternoon of our Valentine party. And just as in previous years, it was left anonymous, the note simply signed “me.” This boy moved to Georgia a few months ago, so I was quite surprised to find these on our doorstep. So thoughtful and sweet, and as much as Anna insists she doesn’t want this attention from him, I know it has to mean a lot to her that he surprises her every year with these sweet gestures.
