Up With the Birds…Backyard Camping

Since all of the nearby camping locations are closed right now due to Covid-19, we decided to set up camp in our own backyard.  We put together a glow-in-the-dark puzzle, told “scary” stories, roasted hot dogs and s’mores, played games, and visited our growing birds in their snug nest.  Oh, and we had a good laugh at my expense as a giant beetle bug tightly grabbed a hold of my toe and would not let go.  I may have screamed as I violently shook my foot trying to get it to release its hold on me.  Ironically, Anna pointed out that I had just finished telling a “spooky” story where the scary line stated repeatedly throughout was, “Whooo’s got my toe?”  Ha! Abby tells me she thinks we should do this more often.
