Picking Potted Berries

I had plans to go berry picking this summer, but with the coronavirus restrictions still in place, many farms were not offering berry picking this year.  I finally found a place to go strawberry picking, but, when we arrived, I was quite surprised to find that the strawberries were in potted plants lined along a tarp on the ground….not what I expected.  It was still enjoyable, though, and we got to shop inside their little gift shop.  We went home with plenty of berries to make strawberry muffins and strawberry pie, picked up some apple butter which all my kids love, and even got to sample some of their yummy blueberry scones.
