Here Comes A Miracle

First of all, I want to give a shout of praise to God. Cody felt completely fine the WHOLE time we were in Ohio, just like he prayed! He said to me while there, “It’s like God said, ‘Yes’ to my prayers!” I felt like shouting it from the mountain tops that God did a miracle for Cody (see previous post.) We are so thankful to God for that! I wanted to share a few photos I took while visitng family. We had a great Thanksgiving dinner at my sister Tracy’s house. When Cody and Anna couldn’t break the wishbone, Tracy and I stepped in. Tracy got the prized piece, and I hope and pray her wish comes true. (God knows)

Kelli and Tracy made buckeyes with the kids Friday night to get ready for the big game between Ohio State and Michigan the next day. They are huge rivals, so this was the game to see. Ohio State won, leaving them undefeated!

Our friend Scott heard we were in town and came over as we were getting our car packed to head home.  We haven’t seen him in years, so it was nice he finally got to meet our children.  He was probably the closest thing to a brother I ever had.  I thought he and my dad looked cute in their opposing team sweatshirts!

The kids were talking at the lunch table the next day when we were home about the fun memories they had.  Mom wrote a story for them and read it to them at bedtime.  I will cherish that forever and keep it in the kids’ keepsake boxes.  Cody shared how he loved that “Grandpa caught a squirrel!”  Anna loved that she was allowed to jump from the picnic table in the backyard!  As I tucked her in the first night at my Mom and Dad’s house, she said to me, “Mom, I just feel so good with Grandma and Grandpa.”  So sweet that she has that special relationship with her grandparents.

And a BIG apology to Mom, Dad, and Tracy for braving the cold and wind for this photo below!  Tracy, I can still hear your contagious laughter as I look at the photo!  What a change in weather, huh?  What was I thinking?!
