Look, Mom! I Can Do It!

Cody shouted this to me as I watched him learn to swing all by himself two nights ago. He told Shawn, “I just needed a little help!” That help came from Anna that evening as she gave him the first few pushes to get him started. He was so proud, and I felt such joy for him as he mastered this new feat. He could swing on the horse (double swing) by himself for quite awhile now but would grow frustrated over not being able to make the single swing take off for him like he’d hoped. So that evening Cody made sure I watched him every second and told me what a big boy he was and how strong he was.
