Dylan, you are 10 weeks old today. You went to the doctor this week and weighed in at 13 lbs. 7 ounces. Right now you are learning to coo and find it fun to “talk” to us. You are such a smiley baby, and it makes my heart melt that your eyes light up when you see me. You like to follow us with your eyes now that you are able to see us well. Your biggest achievement this week, though, is figuring out how to suck your thumb. I find it absolutely adorable and happy it brings you comfort. This morning it was 7:00, and you hadn’t made a peep from your crib, so I went in to check on you. I found you laying there peacefully staring at your bunny bedding and contentedly sucking your little thumb. You looked so precious lying there.
