Creating Memories

This weekend was a wonderful taste of what it would be like to have family in town. Nanna and a few aunties came in for a visit with a few members from their church. It was so nice to be able to call and meet up for the zoo, shopping, Six Flags, or just enjoy some good food at a restaurant together. There is something so special about family and a void when being apart. Cody’s favorite part of the mini-vacation was riding the log ride at Six Flags! He was so brave as he sat in the very front, barely holding onto the bulky log in front of him. I, however, was clinging to the spindly rail next to me as we headed down the steep slope! Cody rode it an extra time and would have ridden it again and again if it wasn’t time to leave and get some dinner. Anna, on the other hand, informed us after the water rushed up and soaked her little body, “I don’t like that.” Maybe next year she will enjoy that ride more! We also had a fun time at the zoo and enjoyed watching the monkeys eat their breakfast of bananas, grapes, and lettuce…very entertaining. After saying goodbye to Nanna and the girls, Cody looked back one last time before getting into his car seat and shouted across the parking lot, “Bye, Nanna! Bye, Six Flags! I’ll see you all later!” Thanks for some sweet memories together!
