This weekend Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber from Veggie Tales were at the new Christian bookstore in our area. Of course we took Cody and Anna to meet them as Cody is a big fan. He was thrilled! And I must say, as crazy and ridiculous as it may sound, my eyes watered just a little bit when those quirky vegetables walked down the aisle, walked right by Cody, and I saw the look of wonder and awe in Cody’s eyes. Those simple things in childhood are so special. Cody gave Bob a great big hug before he left, but Anna, on the other hand, was not as excited about the life-size characters. She is quite happy and content just to have their stuffed toys!
