Audience of One

Sunday night Cody and Anna had their Christmas concert at church.  They had both tried out for solos this year for the first time.  Almost half the class auditioned for one.  Cody and Anna both were chosen.  I was so proud of them for being brave and stepping out of any comfort zone.  Anna told me that she had never auditioned before and wanted to see what it was like.  She said, “I never thought I would actually get the part.”  I smiled through Cody’s solo at rehearsal as he energetically sang a line from “I’ve Got The Joy.”  I teared up through Anna’s solo in “Welcome to Our World.”  She told me afterwards she had tears in her eyes too as she sang.  Anna was an angel that danced through another song, and Cody did his part in God Rods during another song.  But I love, love, love what Mr. Joe told the children at the end of rehearsal Saturday morning…whatever song, whatever dance, whatever worship art you are taking part in, “You have an audience of One.”  All glory and honor and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ!
